Each ArtScapades lecture begins with a brief overview of the seven elements of art that artists use when composing a piece of art – Color, Line, Texture, Value, Shape, Form, and Space. Each element is illustrated using a representative work of art.

In The Italian Renaissance, ArtScapades continues to look at Renaissance art, and brings in women artists who were highly talented but under appreciated.
In The Northern Renaissance, ArtScapades explains how as Renaissance art styles moved through northern Europe, they were adapted to local customs.
In Dutch and Flemish Baroque, ArtScapades details how art moved forward led by the Dutch Realism School of the 17th century, leaving religious themes behind.
In Italian Baroque, ArtScapades continues to explore Baroque art, as the artists injected theatrical realism into their works.
